(L to R) Debbie Venezia Director of Arts DuPage, Beata Nowak, President Naperville Art League, Jeri Davis Naperville Art League Development Director/grant writer, and Megan Shebik, DuPage Foundation Trustee.
Naperville Art League, 508 N. Center Street in Naperville, IL received an $11,5000 grant through DuPage Foundation’s Community Needs Grant Program (CNGP) to help support its project to refurbish its interior gallery walls. Overall, DuPage Foundation awarded more than $600,000 to 46 DuPage County not-for-profit organizations. Thanks to additional donations from DuPage Foundation’s donors and donor-advisors, the Foundation was able to grant $230,000 above its regular Community Needs grant budget.
"We're absolutely delighted to receive this check for a project at the gallery that has been long overdue because of budgetary constraints," says Beata Nowak, president of Naperville Art League. "We thank the Grant Program for awarding us this generous check that will benefit the art community and those who visit our gallery to view and purchase the work of local artists."
During DuPage Foundation’s fall grant cycle each year, local not-for-profits like Naperville Art League, serving DuPage County in the areas of education, arts & culture, environment, and animal welfare, are awarded funding that supports programs and projects that improve and enrich the quality of life for DuPage County residents.
