LAKES REGION WATERCOLOR GUILD MEETING AND ARTIST DEMONSTRATION

Ingrid Albrecht will be the guest artist at the Lakes Region Watercolor Guild meeting on Thursday May 9th, 9:30 am-noon, at the State Bank of the Lakes, 50 Commerce Drive, Grayslake, IL. Free for members, $5 non-members.Ingrid Albrecht, a watercolor painter, mixed media artist, and teacher, has been interested in pictographs and petroglyphs since 1987, painting her creative interpretation of these ancient images based on her own photos and sketches from her worldwide travels.  As an artist as well as an innovator, she has spent the last ten years perfecting her techniques in creating monoprints and original prints from ink and paint on the surface of water.  She calls her luminous technique creating on water.

LRWG welcomes new members and urges anyone interested in watercolor, whether as a painter or simply an art lover, to attend their meetings.  The guild sponsors workshops for its members with professional artists from all over the country.  Meetings are held September thru May on the second Thursday of the month.  Membership fees are $25 per individual/$30 per family.  for further info: www.LRWG.org or Judy Arvidson at ajarvidson@gmail.com
