"Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style"

April 10, 2026 through October 18, 2026

The King's Gallery, London

Buckingham Palace

TICKETS REQUIRED -- purchase from The Royal Collection Trust website but be aware that the annoying, pop-up "cookie bot" wants your IP address before you can even gain access to the site! Tickets are affordably priced -- 22 pounds for adults (about $29 in USD) and 11 pounds (about $14 USD) for children.

When I think fondly of Queen Elizabeth II, I recall her tastefully, elegant ballgowns, along with her daytime fashions that included colorful, perfectly tailored clothing topped off by a beautifully matching hat. And, of course, she also wore gloves while carrying that ever-present handbag. She was truly the epitome of ladylike dressing.

If you're planning a trip soon to London, this is your chance to view more than 300 of her fashion items now on exhibit at Buckingham Palace in the King's Gallery. It is the largest ever fashion exhibition of the late queen's wardrobe debuting on April 10, 2026, to mark the 100th year of her birth.

Drawn from the queen's personal fashion archive, the display traces the evolution of her world-famous style across nearly a century of public life. More than half of the items have never been exhibited before from her wedding necklaces and a newly displayed tiara to treasured childhood items--even the dress she wore to her father's coronation when she was only age 10.

The King's Gallery, located at Buckingham Palace, is a public art gallery at Buckingham Palace, the official resident of the British monarch in London. Built on the site of a chapel destroyed during World War II, the gallery showcases rotating exhibits from the royal collection including paintings, drawings, decorative arts and other historical artifacts.

Organizers anticipate that this will be a highly popular exhibit, so be sure to get your tickets well in advance of your trip!
