Exemplary Glass artisans, Jeremy Popelka and Stephanie Trenchard, call Sturgeon Bay home. Their gallery / studio, 64 S. Second Avenue, is definitely worth a visit conveniently located in the heart of the city. From their gallery filled with astounding creations, visitors can also view the large hot glass work area to watch them (from a safe distance) spin spirals of taffy-like glass into beautiful forms directly from the red-hot furnace.

Their studio tempts visitors with colorful jewelry, one-of-a-kind pendant lights, many styles of vases along with assorted art glass selections. Their busy studio also offers classes and demonstrations. And during the summer season, public demonstrations occur most Saturdays from Noon-1 PM.

"My 25-year practice is committed to amplifying the historically marginalized female voice within the arts by challenging the Western canon through awareness. The complex narratives women have faced, particularly within the contexts of motherhood, partnerships and family are the core of my practice. Through biographically based figurative work in cast glass, I explore the implications of concessions and sacrifice in order to understand the artists' experience in a human way."
