Ed says, "A drive through Morton Arboretum (in Lisle, IL) on a winter day a few years ago inspired the painting, although as usual I made "few" changes such as relocating the tree and changing it a bit as well as adding a difference in the shrub line and fading the background. I wanted to show that one can find beauty even on a dull, cold day. The palette Is Titanium White, Raw Umber and Mars Black."

Ed’s award-winning acrylic paintings have been recognized with inclusion in the Whiskey Painters of America and Miniature Artists of America of which he holds a Signature Membership. He’s also an inductee in the Illinois Senior Hall of Fame and the Fox Valley Arts Hall of Fame. For the past 30 years, he has been represented by River Gallery in Chattanooga, Tenn. He resides in Batavia, IL ###
