Alicia, who says she has accomplished most of what she'd like to do, enjoys redefining her ability to get better by taking chances, practicing, learning more and listening closer. "Most artists," she observes, "just want to get something off their chest."

Her surprising techniques, such as peeling tape off figurative work rendered in charcoal represents the imperfections of life.

Alicia also collaborates with interior designers, architects, hospitality firms, and private collectors to create artwork tailored to each project’s unique vision—from statement pieces for luxury residences to large-scale commissions for commercial environments.

She believes that time gives you wisdom and offers the following advice to other artists:

"Be uncomfortable -- go beyond your comfort zone. Look for the lesson there -- discover and learn.
Network! Talk to other artists. Learn what they are doing and why.
Keep taking chances. Watch your art flow organically.
Share what you've learned with others.
Don't compare yourself to others.
When working, come from an honest place.
Always SUPPORT other artists.
