DUPAGE ART LEAGUE is located at 218 W. Front Street; the reception is FREE and the public is welcome!
The DuPage Art League is honored to present the artwork of Lori Tucker. Lori returned to painting seriously, about ten years ago after a long break raising her two boys and running her own business. She dabbled in art whenever she could and that was to fill an empty spot on the wall or for holiday decorating. Her business took a lot of her time, but she realized how gratifying painting and drawing was, so she incorporated art into her daily routine. She has taken art classes at the DuPage Art League, the College of DuPage and continues study with artists James Swanson and Colley Whisson. Her style and genre span many mediums; oil, watercolor, colored pencils and occasionally stippling with pen and ink. There are always several art pieces in the works at any one time, and she always looks for new scenes to paint and capture with yet another form of art, photography.
Lori’s background is marketing, printing and graphics. She has won several contests for T-shirt designs for various organizations. Lori has won numerous awards for artwork exhibited in the Naperville Art League and the DuPage Art League, winning “Best Theme”. She is also a member of the Nature Art Guild. Lori is the talent behind the DuPage Art League Newsletter, and we hope you will attend this lovely show which will run the entire month of September.
