9/13/25 CAVA's First-Ever Plein Air Painting Competition Picnic at Mayslake Peabody Estate, Oak Brook, IL

The non-profit Chicago Alliance of Visual Artists (CAVA) will be holding their first Plein Air Picnic Paintout Event at the Mayslake Peabody Estate, 1717 31st Street, Oak Brook, IL on Saturday, Sept 13, 2025 starting at 9 AM. Admission to the grounds and mansion are free and open to the public.

CAVA artists will be competing throughout the pastoral acreage surrounding the Mayslake Peabody Estate in a timed competition to paint the winning work of art. 

Non-competing artists are also welcome to join in to paint and draw the landscape, take a tour of the mansion, meet other plein air artists, and bring a post-competition picnic to enjoy on the grounds.
