PRESS RELEASE...
March 25, 2025...The St. Charles Arts Council (St. Charles, IL) announces their 2025 Student Art Show to be held April 12 – May 4, 2025. The exhibit, featuring artwork from 182 student artists, will be on display at the SCAC Arts Resource Center located in downtown St. Charles at 121 N. 2nd Street, Suite H. Gallery hours are Wednesday thru Sunday from 11-3 p.m.
“What an explosion of interest!” commented SCAC Executive Director Kathryn Hill. “We had 145 submissions last year and thought we’d never beat that number. But the kids came out in force and the quality of talent is terrific!”
Students from Aurora to Elgin were invited to submit artwork for this show. There was no fee to participate. Due to the high number of entries, two separate Artist Receptions will be held on Saturday, April 12. Elementary Students are invited for a reception from 2-4 p.m. and Middle and High School Students will be celebrated from 5-7 p.m. “We knew when we opened our gallery in February this year that we’d need to divide the receptions. This reception has traditionally attracted more than 300 people who come to celebrate the student talent here in the Fox River Valley,” said Hill. “It’s such a nice event that supports these young kids.”
The Student Art Show is sponsored by the St. Charles Kiwanis Club, retired art teacher Becky Blaine, Rheanna Valdez-Reed and All Things Art Studio.
