Recent Geneva, IL Art Fair Draws Talented Artists & a Good Crowd...Take a peek!

ArtDespiteCenter | www.fineline.org Despite the dicey weekend weather of Saturday, 7/23/22 and Sunday, 7/24/22, the annual Geneva Art Fair generated a healthy attendance once the storm clouds cleared. Around 117 artists working in all mediums from many different states across the country, participated. Here's a quick peek below at just a few that caught Art BEAT's eye. Lisa Mote's vibrant, large scale, and textural art glass will stop you in its tracks! Traveling here from Newborn, Georgia, her commissioned work can be found in lobbies and vestibules of corporations and hospitals -- absolutely gorgeous!

Mina Hsing specializes in Chinese brush stroke on hand-made rice paper that she "crumples" for texture and then covers in gold. Her interpretation of cherry blossoms is delicate and sweeping with a story of life behind it. Stay tuned for an in-depth feature about her soon!

Anna Winette's Repke's Fiber Art is like a textured painting. Some are tucked into handmade frames created by her husband -- a skilled professional carpenter -- who specialized in crafting intricate woodwork found in high-end homes.
