Here's my oldest grandchild, Noah, taken a few years ago with a precious picture he made for my new refrigerator. Even though he's now driving a car, this picture still hangs on my fridge door as a sweet reminder of him at age 11!

Last weekend's edition of the Wall Street Journal (May 8-9, 2026) contained an absolutely AMAZING art idea for moms and grandparents in the Style & Fashion section, "Fridge Art You Can Keep Forever". Mind you, it's a bit pricey depending on if choosing 14kt gold or sterling silver, but still, it's a pretty novel gift idea.

So, instead of papering your refrigerator with your little ones' artwork, consider having it made into precious jewelry to enjoy for decades. Pendants, necklaces, bracelets and even rings can be made into the likeness of their art recreated in your choice of 14 KT gold or sterling silver. Talk about a conversation piece!

Prices range from a pendant necklace in sterling for $98.00 to a "framed" locket replete with gems at a cost of $2,500.

Find this at Kinn Studio --Heirloom Handwritten comfort Ring (above) sells for $926

This clever little envelope pendant (above) actually opens to reveal a tiny sterling silver note that can slide out. It is engravable! Find it for $2,995.00 at Adina Reyter. For custom orders contact hello@adinareyter.com

At Made by Mary https://madebymary.com/

Purchase a sterling silver disc pendant that features a replica of your little one's signature. The "engraved handwriting disc necklace" sells for $98.00
