Here's what Sycamore, IL artist and reader, Carol Bingham, shares with Art BEAT readers...

The Coliseum is a non-profit gallery that is up and running in Oregon at 124 N.4th St, Oregon, IL 61061. They have shows with three featured artists each month. Artwork is for sale with a percentage to benefit the Coliseum.

This month, Stuart Roddy - oil painter, Dick Cholke - watercolorist and me Carol Bingham, - Oil painter -- are featured. There are additional displays by more artists with some Lorado Taft work and original Eagle Nest artist's work displayed as well. The Coliseum itself has an interesting history. It is a newly renovated art deco style dance hall from the 1930s.

Their website is cmaaa.org, phone # 815.595.5810. Hours run Wednesday through Saturday 10-5.

A newsletter is produced each month with upcoming events. I have included a few shots of my paintings. Artwork by Dick Cholke and by Stuart Roddy can be viewed on cmaaa.org facebook and newsletter.
