WHEATON ARTS WEEKEND JUNE 19.20.21

& MAKE MUSIC WHEATON JUNE 21 2026

The international music festival, Make Music Wheaton, returns for our third year in a row, Sunday June 21st, 2026, starting at 11am. Get ready for free concerts in Hale Street shops and restaurants, under the Innovator tents, in Adams Park and at the French Market Plaza. But wait, there's more!

This year, the City of Wheaton's Fine & Cultural Arts Commission is proud to present Wheaton Arts Weekend starting at 4:30pm on Friday June 19th at the Wheaton Public Library's new outdoor plaza with The Gospel According to Blues.

Then on Saturday June 20th the Downtown Wheaton Association brings you Murals Mocktails and Music from 2-5pm on Hale. Turn the longest day of the year into the longest celebration of the year! Join Downtown Wheaton and the City of Wheaton Fine & Cultural Arts Commission for a celebration of art, music, and craft mocktails.

In partnership with POSCA, Saturday features art and a mural installation in Downtown Wheaton; watch the art come to life and enjoy live music as you sample, sip, and stroll craft mocktails throughout Downtown Wheaton. Enjoy live music on Hale Street by the Leroy Winn Power Trio!

Return on Sunday for Make Music Day Wheaton in partnership with the City of Wheaton’s Fine & Cultural Arts Commission.

Saturday evening kicks off our first Gospel Blues Night in beautiful Memorial Park from 5pm-9:30pm. Get ready for a local Gospel Hymn Sing! at 5pm, followed by A Patch of Blues at 6:30pm and Delmark Records recording artists Jimmy Burns and Soul Message Band at 8pm. Chicago Blues Wheaton-style.

These concerts are free. Save the Dates. Please bring chairs, blankets and leave the park as clean as you found it. There will be live art, live music and creativity all around the City of Wheaton June 19th to June 21st, 2026. More information can be found on Arts DuPage and the City of Wheaton's website.

These events are brought to you by the City of Wheaton’s Fine & Cultural Arts Commission, the Wheaton Park District, the Wheaton Public Library, The Wheaton Chamber of Commerce, Arts DuPage, the Downtown Wheaton Association, Delmark Records Chicago and WDCB 90.9fm.

MORE INFORMATION ABOUT MAKE MUSIC DAY

Make Music Day began in France in 1982 as the Fête de la Musique, and has spread to over 2,000 cities across the globe. From classical to folk, hip hop to opera, Latin jazz to punk rock, live music of all kinds resounds on streets, sidewalks, porches, plazas, parks, gardens, store fronts and other public spaces on the longest day of the year. Make Music Day is presented by The NAMM Foundation and coordinated by the nonprofit Make Music Alliance. For more information, please visit www.makemusicday.org
