Flyleaf Cafe in Batavia Library Showcases Angie Cornelius as their November 2022 Artist

Enjoy a warm drink, a fresh-baked cookie and some colorful art the next time you stop by the Batavia Library. This month-long exhibit features nine original works by Cornelius. Most were works created over the past year including three new pieces: “Zyzane and Fifi Sample Earthling Street Foods,” “Brood Parasite,” and “Turtle Brownie.” Each figurative artwork is created in her signature mixed media drawing style, using marker, colored pencil, ink and gel pen, together with spray paints and acrylics.

Angie is a mixed media artist and designer specializing in figurative art and food illustration, design and lettering. She is the owner of Lonesome Road Studio in northeastern LaSalle County and is active in the Aurora/Batavia/Oswego art communities, exhibiting at the LunaFest Women’s Film Festival, Downtown Aurora Art and Market, and as the solo exhibiting artist month-long popup at The Cotton Seed Creative Exchange in collaboration with VizoArts in summer of 2021. She contributed editorial art to the ArtBar publication “VaxZine” and artist-created loteria card designs for Culture Stock. In 2022 her illustration and design was commissioned by Aurora Downtown for the May 2022 Food Truck Festival.
