The FIBER ARTS DIVAS' exhibit, “Elements of Innovation” is incredible! Be sure to stop by the

Naperville Art League Gallery, 508 N. Center Street; Naperville, IL, to see it now until November 6, 2021.

About 40 original pieces are on display and some are available for sale.

Yvette Thorn of Lisle, IL is one of the group of founding members which started Fiber Arts Divas in 2007 dedicated to exploring fiber arts together.

Fast forward to 2021, the Fiber Arts Divas now have a thriving membership of about 30 with average attendance at meetings numbering around a dozen. The $35 annual dues covers such costs as renting space from the Naperville Art League for their meetings and annual fiber arts show.

“Some members are very prolific and produce many items to discuss at our meetings, while others may only make one piece a year," says Yvette. She added that meetings are friendly, supportive, and with a collective interest in learning new techniques.

Meetings feature Show & Tell time to explore ongoing individual projects, receive a group critique, or simply share additional ideas. They’ll also include demonstrations of new techniques from guest artists. Members attend from as far as Homer Glen and Des Plaines to suburbs closer in to Naperville. New members are always welcome.
