Congratulations to Naperville Artist & Dedicated Volunteer, Sally Sharp, for Lifetime Membership Award to Naperville Art League on 10/25/24

Naperville resident Sally Sharp may be officially retired, but one look at her full schedule at the Naperville Art League, and you’d never know it. Her unwavering participation in the arts can be felt not only locally but also to artists and patrons across the country.

The Naperville Art League and Gallery is located at 508 N. Center Street and has been in non-stop operation for over 60 years. Its lifeblood depends on dedicated volunteers, like Sally, who help keep the doors open each and every week while providing a wealth of art education and art appreciation opportunities that enhance everyday life for Naperville residents and beyond.

Sally has not only boundless energy, but a passion for the Art League that extends back to 2009, when she first joined. As a talented artist who participates regularly in the art league’s membership shows, she also exudes laser-focused dedication to the organization and its membership roster of 240 individuals.

Over the years, she has rotated through the league’s various leadership board positions helping set the vision and steer the organization’s accomplishments by providing stability, reliability, and consummate experience. No job is beneath her – from washing its floors, emptying wastebaskets, answering phones, and cleaning toilets to spreading mulch and pulling weeds around the building.

And kudos also to the Naperville Art League board of directors for recognizing Sally's many years of steadfast contributions and voting to award her with this honor. ###
