JURIED SHOW THEME: “Wall Flowers” | Art About the Beauty & Power of Flowers
Opening Reception: March 22, 2025 (6-9pm)
“Wall Flowers” as a fine art exhibition aims to visually explore many ideas: the immense beauty and diversity of flowers, including related subjects such as petals and other flower parts, bouquets, vases & pots, floral arrangements, flower beds, etc.; the positivity, happiness, inspiration, and healing that flowers bring to people; the language, or different meanings, of various floral species; and even perhaps various phrases or idioms related to “flowers” such as flower power, tiptoe through the tulips, everything’s coming up roses, April showers bring May flowers, flower child, etc.
Submissions are welcome in the following media: oil, acrylic, watercolor, collage, assemblage, graphite, colored pencils, ink, pastel, scratchboard, sculpture (metal, wood, found object, wire, etc.) clay, textile/fiber art, encaustic, cold wax, printmaking, gouache, and photo-based art.
As a follow-up to their highy successful "It's for the Birds" juried show in 2024, this year Blue Moon Gallery will have double the space for this much anticipated very exciting show!!! Artists aged 18 years & older are invited to submit for consideration.
