PRESS RELEASE INFORMATION...

📢COMMUNITY-WIDE CALL FOR ENTRIES!

The Community Group Show

On exhibit: February 22 – March 19, 2025

Opening reception: Saturday, February 22, 2025

The Addison Center for the Arts trying something new!  Since we are a community-based art organization, we decided to hold an exhibit in our art gallery from the community at large.

Are you an amateur artist, photographer, sculptor, carver, etc.?  Have you done original needlework?  We’d like to showcase your artwork from February 22 through March 19, 2025.  Even if you’ve never entered an exhibition before, this is your opportunity!  There will not be judging or awards; this would simply be an opportunity to see your work hang in a gallery for all to see.  Based on space in our gallery, artists can submit up to three pieces of their framed work.

All hanging pieces must have wire hangers (no sawtooth hangers).  If you’re willing to sell your art, please include pricing.  As traditional, ACA will keep a 20% commission of the sold price.  If you choose not to sell it, we will identify it as NFS (not for sale).  The entry fee for ACA members: free!  Non-members pay $5 per piece.  We accept cash, check and PayPal.

Opening reception is Saturday, February 22, from 1 to 4 p.m.  All are welcome to attend.

Submission deadline is Saturday, February 15.  Drop off your artwork from now until then at Addison Center for the Arts, 213 N. Lombard Road, Door 4. No appointment necessary. Note that we are only open Wednesdays through Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Amanda Thomas at amanda@addisoncenterforthearts.com or call (630) 458-4500.
