Rush Copley Foundation is seeking qualifications and proposals for semi-temporary art projects or installations located in four medical center stairwells.
Healthcare workers encounter unique challenges at work that can compromise their job satisfaction and feelings of well-being which put them at risk for burnout. At Rush Copley, proactive strategies are in place to protect the well-being of the team, which in turn improves patient care and job satisfaction. The use of art has been linked to positive health outcomes, improved well-being, and increased work performance. The goal of this project (which is funded by philanthropy) is to improve the wellness of Rush Copley employees by offering a variety of esthetically appealing art designs in four commonly utilized spaces. Large wall art has a calming effect, helping to alleviate anxiety and reduce stress levels. Gazing at artwork can promote relaxation, bring about a sense of peace, and provide a therapeutic experience within the workplace.
Applications are due by 4:00 PM on Friday, September 27th. Rush Copley is targeting installation during the month of November, with a completion date of November 30th. If interested, please see the attached Request for Proposal (RFP).
All questions concerning this RFP shall be directed to the Rush Copley Vice President of Fundraising in writing at alexander_f_pope@rush.edu.
