Plein Air Festival Brings 62 Artists from Across the Country to St. Charles, IL

Celebrate a Week of Live Outdoor Painting, Community Art Events & a Grand Reveal Party

St. Charles, IL – From August 18 through August 22 St. Charles, IL - a suburb that lies west of Chicago by about 40 miles -- will transform into a living canvas as 62 acclaimed artists from across the United States arrive to participate in Plein Air in St. Charles.

Throughout the week, visitors can watch these talented artists capture the area's scenic beauty, historic architecture, and vibrant energy throughout St. Charles with brushstrokes right before their eyes. Public parks, downtown streets, and riverfront paths will come alive with easels, paint palettes, and creativity on display.

In addition to the live painting, a variety of community art events will be held all week long, inviting residents and visitors of all ages to engage with the arts and meet the artists in action.

The festival will culminate in a Grand Reveal Party on Saturday, August 23, where the freshly completed plein air paintings will be unveiled, displayed, and available for purchase. This exciting finale offers a rare opportunity to collect original artwork that captures the essence of St. Charles, created by nationally recognized talent.
