Come and celebrate the beauty of Painting with Wool!

The Du Page Art League presents a workshop in wool felting processes with teacher/artist Kathryn Parenti. Saturday, May 30, 9:00 am. - 4:00 pm. (lunch break provided) at the Du Page Art League School and Gallery, 218 W. Front Street, Wheaton. Cost: $125

Painting by Diane Fisher Fiber Artist and Student of Kathryn Parenti We will explore the wet felting and dry needle felting painting processes and create beautiful works celebrating flowers and color. Using simple tools and an easy to follow FUN process, we will work together to create individual compositions with beautiful colors of dyed wool roving. Participants will receive a “kit” of all the necessary tools and will be able to sample and choose from an array of provided materials.

Participants will go home with a completed flower composition & a beginning knowledge of the painting with wool processes and tools… and, quite likely, a desire to learn more about the exciting and soothing art of working with natural wool roving! The possibilities of this medium are endless, entertaining, and accessible.

Kathryn Parenti is a DPAL member and local artist working in a multidisciplinary art practice. She is a seasoned and award-winning local instructor.
