LAKES REGION WATERCOLOR GUILD MEETING AND ARTIST DEMONSTRATION

Carmelo Schifano will be the guest artist at the Lakes Region Watercolor Guild meeting on Thursday March 12th, 9:30 am-noon, at the State Bank of the Lakes, 50 Commerce Drive, Grayslake, IL.

 Free for members, $5 non-members.

A professional educator, Carmelo has been teaching for over 40 years.  His motto is to have fun and lose your fear.  He advises his students to relax, forget about their daily stress and hold their paintbrushes gently rather than in white-knuckled death grips.  He coaches them to forget about seeing "things" like flowers or trees and instead see "shapes of colors.”

LRWG welcomes new members and urges anyone interested in watercolor, whether as a painter or simply an art lover, to attend their meetings.  The guild sponsors workshops for its members with professional artists from all over the country.  Meetings are held September thru May on the second Thursday of the month.  Membership fees are $25 per individual/$30 per family.  For further info: www.LRWG.org or Judy Arvidson at ajarvidson@gmail.com
