The Vibrant Hues colored pencil show, although not juried to enter, will be judged and awards presented on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 116 Gallery on Main Street in downtown St. Charles (located behind the MIxology hair salon). The show, with up to 30 entries, runs October 2-November 5.

Award-winning artist, John Smelko, had a 35-year career in art education. After retirement, he became a full-time artist and now offers Mark Making workshops all over the country. He is a signature member of the colored Pencil society of America. His signature "scribbles" workshop offers students the following instruction:
