Cheryl writes:
This show brings together so much of what I love about making art — collecting, noticing, experimenting with materials, following an idea down an unexpected path, and seeing what happens when seemingly unrelated things find their way together.
There are paintings, mixed media work, fragments of the natural world, and all those little discoveries that happen when I’m in the studio playing with materials and following my curiosity.
For me, the work is never just about making an individual piece. It’s about all the connections — between nature and memory, materials and ideas, the things I collect and the things I create from them.
And now I get to share it all with YOU!
I’d love for you to come see the work in person. There’s nothing quite like seeing the layers, textures, and little details up close. ###
